We have a great opportunity to join a recently opened DAF Service Dealer based in Bathgate as a Workshop Controller.

Reporting to the Service Manager, the main functions of this role will be:

- Issue of work to technicians
- Communicating with the customer at all stages of the repair for authorisation if needed
- Ensuring the smooth running off the department with the efficient flow of job cards to the administration and team coverage on the telephones/front desk at all times.
- Helping the manager controlling a team of Commercial Vehicle Technicians, Apprentices and Service Administrators.
- Keeping up to date with all manufacturer's bulletins and information ensuring the updates are relayed to the relevant staff in a timely manner.
- Maintaining company databases
- Monitoring utilisation, productivity, and idle time to ensure internal KPI’s are met
- Ensuring Health & Safety standards are always adhered to at all times.
