The Restructuring Team in Scotland undertakes a high volume of formal corporate insolvency and advisory appointments, with varying degrees of complexity. We are expanding our Take on Team who, working alongside the National Risk Team and our Engagement teams, are responsible for carrying out all the conflict checking procedures, to assess whether we can have (or continue to have) a company as a client, and our subsequent client take on process (including setting up time recording codes).

We are seeking a Senior Associate to:

- Undertake the key tasks associated with the Interpath Scotland Corporate team client take on process and report to the Senior Management team
- Work closely with the Interpath Scotland Corporate team to ensure conflict checks are undertaken efficiently and effectively, reflecting an agreed order of priority
- Work closely with the Engagement team managers on each request to provide support and guidance in the completion of client onboarding
- Provide training and support to other members of the Take on team
- Monitor the progress of all live conflict checks, using Interpath tracking tools, and proactively follow up with other team members where actions lie with them

**What you'll be doing**:

- Taking responsibility for a large and varied portfolio of conflict checks
- Pro-active progression of the conflict checks, as they move through the take on process
- Ensuring the Interpath Scotland Corporate team are adhering to the latest technical guidance and statutory requirements
- Training team members and the wider Take on Team as appropriate, in conjunction with the National Risk Team
- Liaison with the National Risk Team to report any identified improvements to the systems and client onboarding process, helping embed any new systems / processes as these are rolled out
- On a case-by-case basis:

- assisting with basic background research and preparatory steps
- completing the standard take on forms and documentation (in Microsoft Word and Excel format)
- liaising with the Engagement team at every stage of the process as required
- collating Client ID information and submitting requests for AML / KYC checks to our third party providers (presently Equinity and KYCNet)
- ensuring all document retention requirements are adhered to assisting the Engagement team with any escalation requirements depending upon the risk profile of clients

**You**:
We are seeking an individual who has experience in client onboarding process, with an understanding of the relevant Money Laundering rules and regulations and, where possible, an interest in a career in Advisory / Restructuring / Insolvency. They should be able to demonstrate:

- good time management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks with changing deadlines;

- experience in using Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook/Teams
- The individual will be required to be flexible in their working environment, with a mixture of working from home and Interpath offices. There will be no requirement for the successful applicant to be on client sites.
- Experience of:

- administering and managing a portfolio of take on clients, at differing stages in the process, ideally for an Advisory / Professional Services business
- take on procedures in the banking, financial or restructuring sectors using take on systems and processes - Interpath is bespoke however, follows industry best practice

**Education**:

- Three Highers/equivalent (Maths is preferable but not essential)
