We are recruiting for a CAMHS Clinician in training to work with families systemically with a focus on evidence-based practice for difficulties with mood and behaviours that challenge.

The post holder will obtain a Post Graduate Diploma in Children and Young Peoples Increasing Access to Psychological Services (CYP-IAPT) (1 year course) alongside experience of CAMHS work within a early intervention & disability service for 0-18 year olds from a range of child populations. Community CAMHS is a friendly and supportive multi-disciplinary team. We are passionate about supporting the emotional well-being of children and families.

The post-holder will work within Community CAMHS, Homerton providing interventions whilst undertaking a programme of training at university to support their practise. The focus will be on CYP-IAPT care principles and evidence based interventions for children and young people with a systemic focus. The role will introduce you to systemic skills and a range of systemic approaches for working with families. This will include offering work to families and adolescents with Autism/learning needs and depression/ self injurious and/or behavioural needs.

The module staff will also ensure course suitability. The course runs from January to December 2024.

Students attend university on approximately 2.5 days per week for teaching and tutorials, and work for the remaining days. The course is fully funded by Health Education England for 1 year and students are not liable for their fees.
