**Overview**

**Your main duties will include**:

- Awareness of and to act within the provisions of the Company Health and Safety at Work Policy.
- Undertaking routine building maintenance/minor repairs and improvements but not limited to redecorating, changing light bulbs, checking drains/plumbing when required.
- To assist production personnel in occasional customer site maintenance and repair visits.
- Ensuring that all heating, lighting, and fire alarms are tested and in full working order.
- Completion of Maintenance logs in accordance with company procedures (electronic system)
- Checking machine/equipment checks are undertaken by production personnel.
- Acquire a working knowledge of the CCTV system and monitoring the activity log.
- Acquire a working knowledge of the factory extraction system.
- Act as a designated key holder for the company and to consult with the alarm monitoring company when necessary. Assist in any emergency and emergency call outs.
- To be familiar with the location of gas/electricity and water meters, and awareness of the isolation procedures (location of stop cocks/isolator panels). Check drainage interceptors and sump levels of rubber presses.
- Carry out repairs and small works which line management consider within your capabilities.
- Make good and report any external damage to the property.
- Escort visiting Contractors to the relevant parts of the business where repairs/inspections have been sanctioned. To assist in the supervision and monitoring of the repairs and report any concerns to line management. Support the completion of annual maintenance and inspections from insurers and other parties.
- Ground duties include a litter pick of the playground, ensuring all perimeter fencing is secure, some minor ground maintenance when required. Salt and grit pathways when appropriate.
- Any other duties as required.

**Experience and Skills**:

- Practical experience of working with DIY skills to a reasonable level.
- Has experience in premises or trade work.
- Basic computer skills will be required for data input.
- Any NVQ’s (Non Vocational Qualifications) would be beneficial.

- Salary dependent on qualifications and experience, £23k-£25k
