The post holder will provide comprehensive secretarial support to the management team as required.

It is essential that the applicant holds previous secretarial experience, has excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office, and a good telephone manner. A flexible approach to work is needed to meet the demands of the service.

The post holder will possess excellent time management skills, be well organised and have the ability to prioritise workload demands to meet strict deadlines, whilst producing work to the highest standards.

The post holder will also have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, using discretion, judgement and initiative. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, together with a keen eye for detail, with the ability to process and generate urgent and routine correspondence.

To provide high level secretarial support to the Clinical Service Manager, Ward Manager, Clinical Lead and Operations Management team as required for Neonatal Service Children & Young People’s Services of the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board.

To communicate and liaise with individuals and groups across the Health Board and individuals and groups from external organisations dealing with sensitive or contentious information

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Schedules and arranges meetings including the compilation of agenda and the taking and transcribing of meeting minutes, this may include attendance at HR meetings such as investigations and formal disciplinary hearings, where there is a requirement to produce formal notes within a deadline, whilst maintaining strict confidentiality and tact as the meetings may be under difficult circumstances.
