Welder/fabricator

Activus Recruitment have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Welder/Fabricator for our client, family-owned company with manufacturing facilities in Insch, Aberdeenshire & Orkney.

The role is extremely varied with projects involving the design & manufacture of equipment used in the Oil & Gas, Renewables, Brewing & Distilling, and Food Processing industries suppling to a global customer base.

Our client will also provide training for welding to hygienic standards.

**Responsibilities**:

- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and drawings.
- Operate hand and power tools to cut, grind, and shear metal objects to size.
- Weld or adapt materials to meet the blueprint specifications.
- Assemble metal parts using bolts, screws, or rivets.
- Fine-tune welds in order to produce smooth and seamless seams.
- Ability to create customized metal modifications, including bends, offsets, and grooves.
- Ensure proper safety protocols are observed while performing all duties.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

**Requirements**:

- 3 years experience in Welding/Fabrication
- Proficient in interpreting blueprints and schematics.
- Comprehensive knowledge of welding equipment, materials, and techniques.
- Capability to lift heavy objects.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to produce quality work under pressure.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.

**A drivers licence is required**.

Salary will be dependent on experience.
