**Salary**:Depending on experience -Circa £28,000 per annum (may have some flexibility)

**Hours**:Monday - Friday 7.45am - 4.45pm with an earlier finish on a Friday

We are currently working with a leading Technology / Engineering Manufacturer based in Ferndown who are currently recruiting for a Buyer to join their team. This role will be joining a small team where you will cover a variety of aspects of purchasing, buying,supply chain & material control.

Within this busy and varied position your key responsibilities will include sourcing and purchasing products from new and existing suppliers, building and maintaining relationships with suppliers and customers, negotiating the best deal to suit the companyand ensuring all deliveries are accurate and on time.

**Key responsibilities within this role will include**:

- Sourcing parts, materials and products to suit manufacturing build, for on time delivery and within specified budget
- Ensuring suppliers & parts meet company and industry standards for manufacturing
- Negotiating the best all round deal regarding prices, quality & delivery
- Ensuring orders are placed correctly and that they then arrive on time.
- Resolving any problems or delays by liaising with different departments within the business to establish a suitable outcome.
- Processing purchase orders for procured products
- Liaising with the manufacturing departments and shop floor to establish production schedules, build times, delivery schedules etc to procure according to that
- General administration duties including ensuring keeping spreadsheets and customer databases are kept up to date with the correct information.

**The successful applicant will possess**:

- Experience of working in a manufacturing / production / engineering environment within a Buying / Procurement / Purchasing or Supply Chain capacity
- Ability to source, negotiate and build relationships with new and existing suppliers
- Experience of undertaking analysis of suppliers, consumers or trends would be beneficial within this position
- Strong written communication and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- A methodical approach to problem solving and making decisions
- Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft products
