We have a specific vacancy for an Logistics Planner to be based in Stokesley Head Office UK.

**Description of Role**

To source, book, schedule and plan trucking resource across a specified area or region in budget, and with a principal focus on customer service.

**Key Activities & Responsibilities**

**Health And Safety**
- Responsible for one’s own, co-workers and stakeholders health and safety.

**Planning**
- Effectively plan a combination of in-house and 3rd-party truck fleets in a cost-effective manner, targeting high customer service levels, cost reductions, and achievement of required truck revenues.
- Consider budgetary parameters throughout all decision making.
- Manage supplier instructions for, but not limited to, trucking, tank-cleaning and product heating.

**Communication**
- Build positive and beneficial supplier relationships, particularly with key Approved Hauliers.
- Liaise closely and positively with other members of the Operations Team regarding equipment resource, intermodal services, and depot services.
- Liaise closely and positively with the Customer Service Teams regarding customer requirements, changes, challenges and delays.

**Administration**
- Assist the Cost Control function with job status management and updates:

- Haulage confirmations.
- Times and weights
- Additional cost notifications
- Documentation (POD’s, CMR’s etc.)
- Job Status Updates (slots, ETA’s etc.)

**Preferred Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge (E- Essential D-Desirable)**
- Competent in the use of I.T. system, outlook, excel etc. **E**:

- Good geographical knowledge **E**:

- Relevant industry training - ADR, CPC **D**

**Experience**
- Previous roles in transport planning or within logistics industry **E**

**Competencies**
- Effective communicator, both internally and externally **E**:

- Ability to manage time and execute all tasks in prioritised structure **E**:

- Grow and develop relationships with suppliers **E**

**Personal Attributes & other requirements**
- Able to withstand high pressure situations **E**:

- Excellent team player demonstrating loyalty and commitment to the organisation and team members **E**

**Key Performance Indicators**
- Truck-planning and related tasks executed within documented time-frames
- Truck-planning and related tasks executed inside visible budgets.
- Manage required resource levels effectively
- Proactive and effective communications at all times.

**Salary - competitive salary dependent on experience and knowledge**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £21,500.00-£35,000.00 per year
