- **Grade 7 £39,493 - £43,516**:

- **37 hours per week (Monday to Friday)**:

- **Plus, on-call rota (one week in four attracting additional payment)**

The Senior Communications Manager is a vital part of the team, leading and managing a range of communications disciplines to support the work of the Fire & Rescue Service.

The Communications & Engagement Team is responsible for ensuring that Service has a strategic, coherent, consistent, and coordinated approach to communications and engagement, all of which is delivered to a high standard.

You will manage your team and work with colleagues across a varied range of areas to deliver the shared organisational purpose of Creating Safer Communities, and achieving the level of Outstanding service by 2032.

Through this, you will play a key role in helping to deliver the service’s Community Risk Management Plan (CRMP), whilst developing, driving, and delivering the service’s strategy for internal and external communications & engagement.

The role holder will oversee all elements of the Communications & Engagement Team’s work, including (but not limited to):

- Leading, developing and delivering engaging behavioural change and information campaigns, ensuring information is delivered to the right places at the right time to maximise impact
- Leading Outstanding external facing/community and internal communications and staff engagement, utilising a marketing approach where appropriate
- Event support
- Overseeing digital communications and social media
- Brand guardianship
- Providing communications advice and guidance to strategic leaders
- Providing Subject Matter Expert advice internally to colleagues in other departments.

**About you**:
You will have a flair for branding and marketing, using these skills to develop and deliver campaigns.

You will be an influential, creative communicator with the ability to distil complex information into compelling and engaging content in a variety of formats for both online and offline audiences.

You will be experienced at managing a variety of projects and workstreams simultaneously and developing and delivering strategic communications plans.

You will be adept at building and maintaining relationships with a variety of stakeholders and colleagues at all levels.

You will provide management and leadership to a team of officers, work closely with colleagues in a range of departments, as well as partners, the media, and external agencies.
