You do not have to be available 5 days per week as a Casual Cleaner but it is helpful to specify the days you are available.

If you are available to work early morning between the hours of **6.00 a.m. - 8.00 a.m **. or afternoons from **3.00 p.m. onwards **, Casual cleaning work is always available in Schools, Libraries, Council Offices and Community Centres.

Please note: The casual cleaner position is of a non-contractual basis and work will be allocated on an “as and when” needed basis to cover annual leave, sick leave and holiday deep cleaning. Therefore, hours are not guaranteed. Should a permanent position arise, successful applicants for this post will be considered.

This post is covered by the Government’s Code of Practice on the English Language Fluency Duty for public sector workers. The post holder will be required to communicate verbally with customers and provide advice and/or information in accurate spoken English.
