Based in Kings Langley WD4

We are part of the DX group and have been operating for 75 years, we are now seeking a “**Transport Planner, Router**” to work alongside the Night Shift Manager

You will be responsible for assisting in the planning and revenue protection on the Night Shift Operation in conjunction with another manager and 10 team players. The role is very hands on and requires flexibility and the drive to push the team forward in a positive manner, alongside the evening and morning manager you will succeed every day with the objective to deliver freight to our customers in a cost effective and timely manner. You will ideally have previous experience within a fast paced operation that handles multiple items on a fast turnaround. Failure is not an option we have been trading with DX for some 25 years and pride ourselves on being an excellent Service Provider.

**Responsibilities**:
The roll is very hands on involving assisting with planning the next day’s deliveries within Middlesex, Hertfordshire and NW London, we operate 20 vehicles delivering 1000 consignments a day. Good knowledge of postcodes within the above areas along with vehicle payload knowledge is essential. Your shift will start at 23:00 finishing around 09:30, you will be able to manage staff levels, sickness and holiday requirements. Planning is a key part of this position along with building a good team environment.

Key skills required:
Route planning

Knowledge of vehicle payloads

Good communication skills a must

Physically fit

Reliability is a must

Good management team building skills with the ability to motivate people

Ensure a high level of detail and focus

Enforce all company rules and regulations

Adhere to all H&S regulations

**Salary**: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
