**Overview of role**

This is an exciting opportunity to join the TfL Consulting team on a permanent basis. This role would suit someone with drive, looking for a commercially focused and fast-moving environment. You’ll need to be a good communicator, persuasive and organised, with great attention to detail. You’ll be able to produce high quality outputs and be interested in building up your stakeholder management skills - inside and outside TfL.

This role will see you supporting bids and projects that deliver high quality and innovative solutions to our clients. You will be involved in a wide range of activities, such as supporting client relationships, creating materials for bids and facilitating the delivery of successful projects that enhance TfL’s reputation, benefit our clients and colleagues, and support our financial sustainability.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Project managing smaller-scale projects, which involves contract management, governance, budget and client relationships (including being point of contact for the client).
- Where appropriate, contributing technical expertise to projects.
- Assisting the TfL Consulting team in creating materials to bid for new work. This may include creating capability statements, CVs for our SMEs and pulling together reports and presentations.
- Supporting Project Managers and Project Directors with periodic reporting and other contractual obligations on projects. This may include gathering and analysing project-specific commercial data and presenting findings in a suitable format, tailored to the audience.
- Supporting the TfL Consulting team in some of our core activities, including tracking incoming commercial opportunities and being responsible for key business operational tools.
- Raising the profile of the TfL Consulting team both within and outside TfL by presenting to other TfL teams, organising events and shaping our internal communications channels.

**Your skills**
- **Communication**:you’ll be a great listener, can build relationships with TfL colleagues and can organise client requirements into clear and concise plans, actions and deliverables.
- **Project Management**:you’ll be a brilliant planner and organiser. You can support the management of resources and can track progress on deliverables to ensure projects are delivered to time, cost and quality. You’ll have developed skills from delivering smaller scale projects and will be good at multi-tasking when there are competing demands on your time.
- **Commercial acumen**:you’ll be able to see opportunities to create value for clients that bring revenue into TfL, with the ability to thrive in a target-driven, performance-focused commercial environment.
- **IT skills**: you’ll be proficient in Microsoft tools, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, enabling you to create high quality outputs for clients and the team.

**Your knowledge**
- **Transport**: you’ll have an understanding of different transport industry sectors and how transport systems operate in cities, as well as a good understanding of TfL’s unique selling points. Your transport knowledge is wide-ranging, covering a number of aspects of what TfL does and different modes of transport.
- **Technical expertise**: we are particularly interested to hear from you if you have a successful track record as an assistant project manager in a matrixed environment, experience in supporting the management of complex contracts or projects, have delivered online learning solutions or have a background in transport or management consultancy.

**Your experience**
- **Project delivery**: you’ll have experience of bid or project delivery and delivering high quality outputs within budget to agreed deadlines.
- **Work prioritisation**:you will be confident in prioritising your work and will have experience of working in a matrix environment.
- **Data analysis**: your experience will include analysis using a range of tools and methodologies: qualitative and quantitative and with experience in clearly presenting using a range of formats.
- **High quality deliverables**: you ‘ll have drafted and delivered visually engaging presentations and reports.
