**Job Profile**:
The role will be responsible for controlling, monitoring and presenting operational inventory data, to ensure the Ossett site is optimised for manufacturing plans and available space, covering on site stock and external warehousing. The role will work very closely with the planning, manufacturing and warehouse teams, reporting stock status, ensuring inventory levels are accurate, efficient, fast moving and in line with Customer demand whilst making suggestions of corrective actions against any variances.

**Role Functions**:

- Investigate and resolve stock issues, identify and analyse Stock Adjustment transactions and investigate root cause of adjustment. Liaising with departmental Manager to ensure standard procedure in place to eliminate the adjustment transaction.
- Report daily on adherence to cycle counts, stock status and stock adjustments
- Identify and analyse slow-moving or redundant stocks, investigate opportunities for rework and implement improvement methods to prevent re-occurrence
- Facilitate the weekly & monthly site cross functional meetings of WIP management and Inventory management for Raw material and Finished Goods
- Plan & facilitate the monthly stock count
- Work closely with manufacturing and warehouse teams to ensure the whole supply chain is optimized, making recommendations to existing processes and procedures.
- Manage write offs, ensuring proper authorisation and justification received and submitted in a timely manner

**Experience**:
Previous experience in an FMCG industry, ideally food.

Previous Inventory co-ordination experience - ideally in the food industry

**Education/Training**:
Ideally educated to a degree level or equivalent.

**The Person**
- Be analytical, with a very good attention to detail and focused and have great planning abilities
- Sound and comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft IT packages and able to confidently manipulate and extrapolate data analysis sheets.
- Demonstrate a knowledge of Inventory management and an overall supply chain understanding.
- Strong interpersonal skills to manage internal communications, working cross functionally to deliver results.
- Be proactive in their approach to tasks, able to work independently and to tight deadlines, effectively prioritising workload.

**Salary**: £25,000.00-£29,000.00 per year
