A. B. Walker, a long-established, family owned and run funeral directors has a vacancy for a Memorial Administrator based at our Reading office.

We are looking for a confident and organised person to work with our existing Administrator to run the day-to-day operations of the busy Memorial Department.

**Duties and responsibilities**:
Submitting permit requests to churchyards and cemeteries

Creating and following up on quotations issued to new and existing clients

Processing memorial instructions to the stone masons

Assist with day-to-day enquiries that occur within the Memorial Department and work with Memorial Administrator to resolve client queries

Receive and action instructions from the funeral administrators regarding the removal of memorials for burials

The above represents the core of your responsibilities which will expand as the role progresses.

**Required skills**:
Ability to complete all tasks to a high standard and understand the key aspects of the memorial role and procedures

High standard of written and verbal communication skills

Demonstrate and deliver excellent customer service

Good knowledge of standard office procedures and the use of computers is required.

A.B. Walker operate on Microsoft Windows along with Eulogica funeral software programme. Training on in-house computer programmes will be given.

Important criteria for this post are the ability to work as part of a small team, good communication skills and give great attention to detail with a confident but quiet manner.

**Personal skills**:
Demonstrate the highest standards in their personal presentation and attention to detail.

Experience of working within a sales environment would be beneficial.

Full, clean driving licence required.

Must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19.

**Salary and benefits**:
Working hours - 9.00am - 5.00pm

Salary - £23,000 per annum
