We have an exciting opportunity to join our team in a new key role as a Foster Coordinator. This role will set up and support a team of volunteer foster carers who will be able to give bespoke care to some of our animals that need a home environment whist they are waiting for a new home. From kittens to puppies to older cats and dogs we have a range of animals that would benefit from the one-to-one care a foster home can provide.

The team at BCDH has a range of expertise in both veterinary and behaviour care and the Foster Coordinator will work closely with on-site animal care teams to provide the best support to animals that are identified as benefiting from foster care.

The Foster Coordinator will work closely with volunteers and be able to build and manage a team of volunteers by ensuring they are fully supported and trained to be able to care for our animals in a home environment.

You will need excellent communication skills, be approachable and supportive and confident communicating with a wide range of people, including giving presentations to promote the foster service.

We are looking for someone who wants to help support animals in need and enjoys working with people to build great relationships where everyone’s contribution is valued.

Applicants will need to be organised and able to work to deadlines. Previous experience of managing a team or working with volunteers would be an advantage along with great written and verbal communication skills.
