This is a unique and exciting opportunity to be part of a new pilot team taking NSFT Recovery College on to the next stage of its development.
The Peer Tutor and Learning support adviser role will support the Senior Practitioner tutor (project lead) and Practitioner tutor in the development and delivery of the Recovery College’s psycho educational package of support for ASD and ADHD, including webinars, courses, and workshops to all stakeholders in Suffolk.
We have funding for 2 full time equivalent posts. We will consider full time or part time. Please note these are 12 month fixed term posts based in Suffolk only.
Recovery College provides educational courses and workshops, with a focus on personal recovery to anyone in Norfolk and Suffolk over the age of 16 who are experiencing mental health challenges. The courses and workshops are designed to support people to learn skills and strategies to empower them on their recovery journey. All our courses are co-produced and co-delivered by people with lived and learnt experience of mental health difficulties.
Support with the development, implementation and evaluation of ASD and ADHD psycho educational and recovery focused curriculum.
To co-tutor in Recovery College for a minimum of 20 hours a week using your lived experience to empower and inspire hope.
To co-produce new courses for delivery in the Recovery College.
To participate in the Quality Assurance Process of course creation and delivery.
To co deliver courses to external organisations as required.
To carry out enrolment sessions as required.

The Recovery College is a very small team covering a wide area. The College supports thousands of students and prides itself on professionalism and customer service. The successful applicant will be entering a friendly and welcoming team.
As a Peer Tutor and Learning Support Adviser, you will act as a role model by sharing your lived experience of recovery to inspire hope, motivate and support others in their recovery journey.
You will assist service users, staff, and supporters to gain an understanding of personal recovery through co-producing and co-facilitating workshops and courses within the Norfolk and Suffolk Recovery College.
You will also have the opportunity to support students accessing the college to plan individual learning and progression through the college. This will include development of individual learning plans and termly enrolment sessions along with reviewing progress for students each term.
Peer tutors will show empathy, share experiences, inspire hope, and promote recovery, with the aim of assisting/supporting service users, staff and supporters to gain an understanding of personal recovery through co-producing and co-facilitating workshops and courses within the Norfolk and Suffolk Recovery College.
Peer tutors will support students accessing the college to plan individual learning and progression through the college. This will include development of individual learning plans and termly enrolment sessions along with reviewing progress for students each term.
Peer tutors will uphold the recovery focused culture and philosophy of the college in all interactions and tasks with students, the college team, wider colleagues internal to the trust and external partners, family, friend, members of the public and visitors to the college.
