Are you a highly skilled, and experienced Registered Nurse or Allied Health Professional? Would you like to develop your knowledge and experience of operational management whilst maintaining your clinical skills and providing clinical leadership to a number of specialist teams within Adult Community Services. If so then this exciting new role is an excellent opportunity to develop both personally and professionally.

You will be leading a number of small clinical specialists in supporting the larger District Nursing and Community Therapy Teams. Working closely with our systems partners in friendly and supportive teams you will be encouraged to innovate and lead on service developments and improvements.

This role will be responsible for the management of a several small specialist nursing teams which includes the overnight nursing service, the continence service, and the clinical skills educators.. The post holder will be responsible for leading the team to deliver high standards of patient centered care cost effectively. Working closely with the Matron and Service Manager, the post holder will ensure the sustained delivery of key operational, performance and financial service targets.

The post holder will line manage the Specialist Nursing Teams comprising of Community Nurses, Support Workers and Allied Health Professionals employed by HDFT. They will need well developed interpersonal and communications skills to build strong working relationships with GPs and managers in partner provider organisations to enable collaborative working.

A strong focus on change management and team development will be required to support the team as they develop new ways of working within an integrated Adult Community Service.

The post holder will demonstrate an effective and adaptive style of leadership to support capacity planning, effective roster development and delivery, performance management and transformation of Adult Community Services.
