- Role and Organisational Context_

Provide strategic leadership and direction to support the roll out of The Daily Mile across the World, with the aim of having more schools signed up to delivering The Daily Mile.

To achieve this, developing strong partnerships with national and local bodies who will support the delivery of this and will bring influence, resources, and expertise to delivering the ambition will be critical. This includes partnerships across the US, UK, Europe, and Commonwealth Countries with a key focus on engaging governments, national public bodies, local authorities, governing bodies, and private sector organisations.

The role will require knowledge and understanding of different political landscapes and how The Daily Mile can contribute towards positive health outcomes to deliver on national priorities and policies.

This role will also be responsible for the day-to-day line management of the UK TDM Team.

To do this extensive experience in line management including mentoring, strong communication, influencing, collaboration and project management skills will be essential.
- Principal Accountabilities_

**Governance**
- Set within the framework of The Daily Mile Foundation create a global strategy for developing and implementing The Daily Mile, including monitoring and reporting.
- The development and management tracking of multiple partnerships across the World, aligned to the ambition of The Daily Mile Foundation.
- Monitoring and reporting to partners about the progress and impact of The Daily Mile, particularly around sustainability of the programme.
- Day-to-Day Management of the UK Daily Mile Team
- Maintain quality assurance of marketing and communications of standard and progression.

**Internal facilitation**
- Work collaboratively with TDMF in the creation and delivery of the Global TDM strategy which outlines plans and objectives.
- Support the TDMF to set targets that deliver the global ambition.
- Support with setting the annual global budget, manage the budget and respective invoicing tracking.
- Manage and provide strategic direction to The Brand Manager in relation to marketing and communication opportunities with partners and stakeholders
- Work alongside the UK Partnership Manager to provide direction to TDMF Research Coordinator to share relevant findings with stakeholders/partners to highlighting the impact of The Daily Mile.
- Work alongside the UK Partnership Manager to ensure strategic plans align.

**Delivery**
- Work alongside the TDM Director to Manage and develop the partnerships in the US, Europe, and Commonwealth Countries.
- Maintain positive relationships with existing stakeholders and policy makers in the US, Europe and Commonwealth countries and build new relationships.
- Quality assurance - ensure there is consistency of implementation by international partners, supported by UK team
- Lead TDMF team in the development of global marketing and communication strategy.
- Lead in the managing the third-party agencies; Legal, PR and Media
- Level of education & Experience in general_
- Degree educated
- Good knowledge of the public and private sector landscape across UK, including health, sport and educational landscape
- People Manager, experience in leading a team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Technical skills_
- Very numerical and experience of managing budgets
- Ability to work with a wide range of people internally and externally to gather intelligence and provide guidance
- Strong presentation skills
- Well organised
- Advanced MS office skills and data analysis
- Behavioural skills_
- The job holder needs to be self-managing, display initiative, engage in proactive behaviour, seize opportunities, and demonstrate continuous self -improvement.
- The job holder needs to be able to challenge others in a constructive way to help others achieve the optimum results
- Provide effective influencing and persuasion skills when dealing with current and new partners
- Take a leadership role in working together within TDMF and offer advice and guidance to co-workers
- The job holder requires excellent critical information seeking combined with analytical thinking skills. The ability to proactively obtain accurate information from partnerships and then logically break down problems into essential elements proposing options for solutions.
