The people who use our services tell us we’ve changed their lives. Our employees tell us they’re supported, enthusiastic and have opportunities to develop meaningful careers.

As a Senior Support worker, you will lead the Recovery team in the new CrossReach Residential Recovery Service where you will key work, facilitate groups and support people through individual recovery journeys. We’re all about the people we support. We want them to achieve the highest quality of life possible and you’ll be more important in that than you know. This role is a vocation, you will need a real passion and understanding to discern the person behind the behaviour and be able to develop strong supportive relationships. But there is space to be creative too, to find ways to help those we support to achieve their goals so when you see a problem you’ll need to have the heart to fix it.

The Highland Residential Recovery Service is a newly funded service due to open to service users later this year. Funded by the Scottish Governments Rapid Residential Rehabilitation Capacity Program, this new facility will reduce waiting times for those who need support and provide more immediate residential rehabilitation to 22 people who need our support. This makes a huge difference for a person struggling with alcohol or drug use, their families and the local communities as we know that swifter access to services saves lives, and people who complete residential rehabilitation often go on to be a positive influence in their communities.

You will need to hold an SVQ Level 4 in Social Care or equivalent in Social Work, Nursing or related discipline and be able to have an understanding of the nature of substance use and range of needs presented by people seeking support. As this is a 24 hour residential service, you will be required to work various shifts and will be expected to share on call with the Service Manager.

We even have access to a care concierge service to assist you with life's challenges, providing invaluable support when you need it most.

But we also know that your training and development is important to you, and as well as a contribution to your professional membership fees, we are keen to support you in making the right steps to learn, grow and develop in ways that are right for you.
