**Job description**

We are a independent chain of jewellers with shops throughout Dorset, we are seeking an experienced retail assistant to join our team who can provide an excellent level of customer service within a busy retail environment.

**Duties of the role**
- Actively engage with customers, understanding their needs and preferences.
- Assist and develop client relationships with customers in browsing and selecting jewellery pieces.
- Provide accurate and detailed information about jewellery products, including materials, gemstones, and care instructions.
- Upsell and cross-sell jewellery and related accessories.
- Process sales transactions efficiently and accurately.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients.

Setting up the window display and taking it in each evening

Talk clients through jewellery repairs and taking their items in.

Changing watch batteries and resealing.

**What we look for**
- A minimum of one year of luxury retail experience, preferably with Fine Jewellery experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong sales approach.
- Passion for jewellery
- Organised and detail oriented.
- Team player with a positive attitude.

This role will suit is someone with a passion for results, exceptional service and a keen interest in jewellery. Displaying a professional, tactful, and friendly character you must possess a genuine interest in sales and advising customers. As a highly organised and ambitious individual you will become part of a successful team, be able to build on a strong client base through being passionate about always giving a high calibre customer service.

Experience within the retail/jewellery sector is necessary.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: £11.60-£15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week

**Education**:

- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
