Junior Investment Analyst

I am currently recruiting for junior Investment analyst. My client is a large national IFA that has multiple office up and down the UK. This role is based from the West Sussex office and is offering 2 days home working once past probation.
We are seeking a Junior Investment Analyst that has experience working in a similar role or have had dealings with the products in an administration capacity.
**The job role**:
As an Investment Analyst you will need to be understand the financial markets, the fund universe, tax wrappers platforms and providers, and be able to communicate knowledge/ information to others both internally/externally.
You will work closely with, and support, the Investment Analyst team and Investment Director to ensure efficient business administration and record keeping and develop and maintain excellent customer relationships with current and potential members.
Work as part of the team to contribute to the development of a range of initiatives and achievement objectives of the company.
Administration/investment activities on an investment platform and website
Undertake fund research to enhance the Model Portfolios
The Investment Analyst will help to undertake and deliver research information to support and assist the Investment Management team in analysing funds. Principal types of investment research and analysis will include:
- OEICS and Unit Trusts
- Investment Trusts
- ETFs
- Model Portfolios (discretionary) and DFM’s
- Life Assurance Companies
- Life and Pension funds
- Platforms
- IMC holder or interest/willingness to work towards the qualification
- A minimum of 2 years experience working in investment analysis or similar.
- Attention to detail.
- Competent in MS Office.
- The ability to interpret performance metrics and effectively communicate these to Senior Management.
- Good Excel skills.
- Ability to work well as part of a team; however, even more importantly is the willingness to adopt a flexible approach to the work undertaken.
- Demonstrate commitment by efficient/timely completion of work.
- Carry out duties and responsibilities in compliance with health and safety policies and statutory regulations.
- Maintain high standards of personal accountability.
