Hemblington Pre-School is looking for that special someone to join our dedicated team - ideally a Level 2/3 practitioner with experience, enthusiasm and a passion for Early Years. We have a lovely bright and spacious indoor learning environment as well as a secure outdoor space offering children good opportunities for learning and development. Being a pack-away setting offers us great flexibility in daily creating an environment that meets the needs of the children. We also have a fenced area in the woods adjoining the playing fields for our Tuesday morning Forest School sessions where we explore, investigate, roam with our friends and have all sorts of adventures. Locally we are the only setting to offer this.

This position will be 19 hours over 3 days - Tuesday: 9-3pm, Wednesday: 9-4pm and Thursday, 9-4pm.

You will be expected to:

- Manage and sustain a high standard of care and education for all children
- Work well with staff, students and volunteers as party of a small, busy team
- Work with a group of key children, recording their learning and development using Tapestry
- Implement the daily care and routines at the setting
- Promote positive relationships with parents, children and colleagues
- Take necessary steps to safeguard all who access the setting, adhering to the safeguarding policy
- Ensure the health, safety and well-being of the children at all times
- Be flexible in working hours if required
- Support daily routines
- Follow policies and procedures
- Maintain confidentiality
- Have an excellent understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework (EYFS)
- Have a strong passion for a child-centred approach to play and learning
- Excellent communication and organisation skills and time-management

All staff attend essential training and opportunities are available for further professional development.
