We are looking for creative design strategists to join the global Home Care Innovation team at our R&D HQ in Port Sunlight, UK. This role will make the connection between deep consumer insights and business needs to co-create with our innovation teams the holistic product experiences.

**JOB PURPOSE**

This is a unique opportunity to bring user-centred design to the heart of our innovations. You will partner with our innovation teams to define problems, to connect insights with technology and communicate stories to bring to life new products and experiences.

You will co-create with our teams the design vision for the innovation projects, translating consumer and shopper insights into product ideas and bringing them to life to engage stakeholders and to learn from consumers.

You will work closely with the engineering team to understand how technical constraints inform the design, acting as the custodian of the design intent, to unlock feasible yet creative solutions to real life problems.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Facilitating ideation workshops and design sprints to translate opportunities into initial ideas
- Translate consumer pain points into briefs and problem statements.
- Inspire through creativity and user centred design to connect across the business
- Lead idea generation for our new product development, ensuring we are user/end-customer centric, channel specific and designing total product experiences (multi-sensory)
- Research and analyse the latest design codes, semiotics product trends.
- Create early concepts and prototypes to bring ideas to life.
- Encourage and facilitate co-creation with consumers, and cross functional teams throughout design development.
- Engage stakeholders through storytelling, with clear justification behind your design development.
- Develop concepts along-side the engineering design team to build in technical feasibility.

**ALL ABOUT YOU**
- An undergraduate (or masters) degree in Industrial Design or Product Design (or similar discipline)
- Strong portfolio that demonstrates experience in packaging, product, innovation, digital.
- Ability to define problems before going into solutions
- Bring visualise and bring ideas to life - through digital and physical prototyping.
- Clear and confident presenter of your ideas
- Stay up to date with both industry trends and best in class examples of design from other categories proactively finding ways to use this knowledge in projects.
- Action orientated, motivated by seeing impact of your work.
- A passion for consumer centric design and creating a sustainable future for our planet.
