**About YPSA and Aspire**

Young People’s Supported Accommodation (YPSA) is a service commissioned through the local authority to house young people referred by Oxfordshire County Council. Oxfordshire Youth have joined forces with Response to provide an innovative new approach to supported accommodation for young people aged 18-24 in Oxfordshire. The new YPSA model aims to support young people to transform their lives by engaging with life-changing opportunities in education, employment and training.

This role will be to act as a bridge between YPSA and Aspire Oxfordshire, supporting young people to access new opportunities. Aspire is an award-winning, Oxford based employment charity and social enterprise, founded in 2001.

We create accessible activities, meaningful and supported work placements, training and employment opportunities and access to education for young people from across Oxfordshire facing complex barriers. We aim to increase confidence levels, self-esteem, work readiness, independence and life skills. Many of the young people within the YPSA service are Leaving Care, Unaccompanied Asylum Seekers and/or have experienced a wide variety of Adverse Childhood Experiences. These young people are our future change makers, defined by their resilience, tenacity and potential. Oxfordshire Youth Progression Coaches use a youth-work approach underpinned by the principles of Trauma-Informed Care to empower young people to make positive steps forward in their lives. Your relationship with the team of Progression Coaches is essential to establishing rapport with the team and young people on your caseload.
