The shift pattern for this position is Monday to Friday.

The post of Admin Assistant for Paediatric Audiology is based at Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow on the QEUH site and is part-time for 20 hours a week.

It is essential that the post holder be a well-spoken, good listener, good communicator, be computer literate (Various patient databases used where training will be provided and be familiar with previous use with MS office word and excell), and have worked in a direct contact role with the public before ideally in a health care role. Being well organized and able to work on occasions under pressure are key personal qualities required.

The role will include dealing with telephone enquiries, making and changing appointments, scanning, entering details onto patient database, distributing reports and clinic letters, and posting batteries and hearing aid supplies to patients. There will be opportunity to work face to face with the parents and children of the department’s varied caseload.

The hours worked will be Monday to Friday ideally over 4 days minimum between the hours of 8am and 5pm (likely to be mornings or afternoons but **not **totally within school hours). There will be some flexibility required to help the service cover annual leave.
