This highly reputable company are the largest UK business in the logistics sector. They operate across more than 200 sites in the UK and Ireland and with a strong profile of customers they are constantly growing, winning new business, and setting up new teams.
**Your new role**
They are currently looking to appoint a Finance Manager to join the team for a major contract. This would be an excellent opportunity to join a fast-paced business and really make a difference. Responsibilities will include:

- Produce the weekly management information for the site to incorporate open and closed book P&L Accounts, stats and productivity measures to assess the efficiency of the site against budgetary and flex targets.
- Managing the processes around the business and customer period end's
- Production of period reports for the customer for period review purposes and for use in internal contract reviews, including variance analysis, commentary, and balance sheets.
- Payroll reconciliations
- Assist the Contract Accountant with customer & businesses budgets & reforecasting.
- Tracking and co-ordinating any site continuous improvement and cost saving initiatives.
- Support all site financial activities in a manner that adds value to the client and the business to achieve key operational performance objectives.
- Ensure financial control requirements are met providing a reliable service to the operation whilst meeting budgetary requirements.
- Ensure a high quality and efficient service is provided both internally and externally to achieve site targets.
- Develop and maintain relationships with Non-Financial Managers by providing financial and commercial direction, two-way feedback / communication and effectively monitoring performance to ensure high levels of service are achieved.
- To communicate key performance targets in all areas conveying facts and ideas clearly, accurately, effectively, and persuasively.
- Ensures relevant company financial policies and procedures are applied & financial records are accurate.
- Support the GM and site management team providing regular information relating to performance, budgets and ensuring site recruitment plans are in line with budgetary requirements.

**What you'll need to succeed**
This position would suit someone who is part-qualified or fully qualified CIMA/ACCA. You would have a demonstrable background in month end management reporting, variance analysis, budgeting & forecasting and KPI analysis. Experience working for a logisticscompany would be advantageous, it is however essential that you are used to working for a fast-paced operational business and are experienced on MS Excel. A confident persona and ability to partner effectively with stakeholders at all levels is key.
