An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and innovative individual to do things differently in supporting and leading elements of the systems approach to the Healthy Weight: Healthy Wales Children and Families pilot project in Cardiff, working as a Senior Public Health Practitioner.

This role is based within Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan Public Health Team working across Cardiff and Vale University Health Board and reporting to its Executive Director for Public Health.

This post is fixed term/secondment until the 31/3/25 due to funding.

This post is 18.75 hours per week - part time.

The post holder will contribute to the planning, implementation and evaluation of a range of public health programmes in line with agreed local and national priorities for the HW: HW Children and Families pilot and aligned to the ‘Move More, Eat Well’ Strategic Framework for Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan

The post holder will require excellent communication and team working skills to enable them to work collaboratively, contributing to the local progression HW: HW Children and Families pilot programme of work, working closely with a wide range of partners and local communities to implement and drive change at a systems level.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
