Meridian Business Support is recruiting for an experienced Stores Manager for one of our prestigious.
**About the Role**
We seek a Stores Manager who will play a crucial role in overseeing, implementing and maintaining stock control procedures to ensure that products are received, kitted, dispatched, delivered, and managed within the warehouse in a safe and efficient manner.
Main responsibilities:

- To maintain a well organised storage of goods and electronic records, ensuring stock accuracy in the stores and ERP system and ensuring stock quality is maintained to prevent damage and deterioration whilst in storage
- To oversee the identification and picking of correct stock for production, carrying out any special customer requirements as necessary
- To promote adherence to health and safety standards
- To support deliveries and collections, update and maintain associated information in the computer system
- To support the operational team e.g. deliveries/stock/processing/waste collections/pallet ordering
- To work collaboratively with the operational team on shared areas of responsibility
- To ensure good record is maintained of site deliveries both goods in and goods out
- To prioritise workload and manage time sufficiently
- To maintain warehouse organisation and structure
- To meet targets and deadlines set by management
- To ensure the stores is kept to a clean and presentable standard
- To initiate, coordinate, manage and enforce warehouse operations and company policies
- To be able to rearrange stores in accordance to inventory stock levels
- To support in recruiting, selecting, onboarding and training employees
- To motivate, organise and encourage teamwork within Stores to ensure productivity targets are met or exceeded
- To liaise with and support other supervisors and the management team, and provide cover where necessary

**Stores Manager experience
Understanding of health and safety requirements in a manufacturing environment
Excellent knowledge of stores management procedures and best practices
Ability to implement process improvement initiatives
Strong knowledge of key performance indicators
Knowledge of 5S
Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management system
Knowledge of ISO 14001 environmental management system
Strong decision making and problem solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication
Continuous learning and development
**Job Details**

**Location**:

- Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire, UK
Hours:39 hours per week
Monday to Thursday - 8.5 hours
Friday - 5 hours

**Salary**: £25,000 - £29,000
Holidays:

- 26 days plus Bank Holidays
