Allstaff Manufacturing Division seek a New Head of Quality to work with our prestigious, sustainable and innovative manufacturing client near Paisley. We are keen to speak with those who have worked within the manufacturing/FMCG sector.

As a vital member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Head of Quality assumes responsibility for overseeing the inspection, control, troubleshooting, and audit processes of all internally manufactured products. The incumbent will ensure that products meet technical specifications and adhere to quality standards and systems. This role requires adept leadership in guiding the quality and laboratory teams, emphasizing safety, top-notch technical proficiency, and fostering an environment conducive to continuous improvement. The Head of Quality will also spearhead the development of a robust quality control culture, necessitating close collaboration with production, technical, sales, and account management teams to allocate appropriate quality resources. Success in this role hinges on the ability to uphold health, safety, and environmental protocols while promoting proactive quality measures, supporting operational excellence, and facilitating new business initiatives.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies for staff and visitors' wellbeing.
- Cultivate a responsive quality culture that aligns with internal and external customer needs.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance operational performance and prioritize right-first-time manufacturing principles.
- Champion the integration of quality standards into business operations and employee behaviours.
- Define, monitor, and improve key performance indicators related to product quality and yield.
- Implement and maintain procedures for the Quality Management System to ensure compliance.
- Update and revise internal systems and documentation to meet external certification requirements.
- Manage laboratory testing equipment and capabilities to support business needs.
- Address customer complaints and implement corrective actions within the manufacturing process.
- Support problem-solving initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
- Ensure all customer requirements and audits are met.
- Conduct internal and process audits of the Quality Management System.
- Establish quality standards and documentation and facilitate regular quality meetings.
- Collaborate with Supplier Quality Assurance Teams to mitigate non-conforming materials' impact on production.
- Fulfil off-site customer requirements as needed.
- Provide visionary leadership to the Quality Team, promoting employee engagement and development.
- Participate in recruitment, performance management, and succession planning.
- Travel frequently between manufacturing, customer, and supplier sites.
- Foster an inclusive and diverse work environment.

**Desired Experience**:

- SCQF Level 10 education or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in quality leadership
- Proficiency in modern Quality Control methods.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Experience with customer and supplier relations.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis and process improvement methodologies.
- Strategic thinking and influencing skills.
- Program and project management expertise.
- Strong leadership and coaching abilities.
- Experience with KPI development and implementation.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
- Proven track record in driving change and process improvement.
- Familiarity with quality management systems and standards.
- Understanding of Lean Six Sigma principles.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills.
