Job Description Summary
The PMO Leader has direct responsibility for managing the Project Leaders within the WW Engineering Team in Swindon and for the coordination and execution of multiple projects related to New Product Development, Product Line Improvement and customizations.
Part of the activities will be to oversee project status, reporting, resources and cost management and to host site project review forums to ensure projects achieve stated deliverables and business objectives.
**Job Description**:
Main activities include:
manage, motivate, coach and develop Project Leaders under direct reporting to maximize individual and team potential in order to deliver all allocated projects to the highest standards
ensure effective management of all projects within WWE in close collaboration with all the functional leaders
maintain and improve the Project Portfolio Management process by analyzing gap and industry benchmarks
develop project management procedures in line with regulatory and business requirements, ensuring the use of standardized processes, methodologies, tools, and templates (PMR, PMC, templates, PlanView)
establish effective communication around the health and progress of the Portfolio (such as project reviews, dashboards & metrics, risks), including escalation of slippage to plan, budget or identification of new project risks
liaise with R&D stakeholders and with all the functional leaders to assign and manage required resources to support effectively project activities
prepare and consolidate project resource requirements and facilitate internal project review meetings
provide recommendations on the prioritization, sequencing and resourcing of projects
contribute to annual budget preparation and resource planning for WW Engineering department
ensure compliance to BD quality policies, procedures and practices through appropriate communication, training and education to quality management principles
About you
We are looking for a PMO or Project Manager background with a proven track record of project, programme and portfolio management and functional experience in operations.
You should be comfortable to work in a matrix environment and have good experience in delivering projects which required the use of project management methodologies such as Agile, Prince 2, with PMP certification or equivalent.
You are also an excellent communicator with good organizational skills and previous experience in leading project management teams.
Experience within Healthcare Industry (Medical devices ideally) is desirable but we are open to all industries that are very mature in project portfolio management.
Any experience in R&D or quality department could be beneficial and strong IT skills as well as Sigma Sigma knowledge would be an advantage.
