You’ll provide support to the current Maintenance Team Leaders and oversee the safety, effectiveness, productivity and quality of their work groups.

You’ll also promote the use of Human Performance tools in all aspects of work as well as ensuring activities are carried out with regard to Site Licence requirements, statutory requirements, company and facility directives, procedures and safety rules.

**Pay, benefits and culture**

We can offer a competitive salary from £31,928 - £56,779, with terms and conditions covered by the EDF Nuclear Generation Company Agreement. You’ll be appointed based on the parameters outlined in the Company Agreement as well as your existing salary, competence, experience and qualifications.

**What you’ll be doing**

As part of this role, your responsibilities will include:

- Direct accountability for the effectiveness, productivity and output quality of the Maintenance teams and Contract Partners under their supervision
- Establishing and reinforcing high standards of performance, holding personnel accountable for implementing these standards. Shortfalls in meeting expectations are evaluated, understood and addressed promptly
- Performing daily ‘Setting to Work’ briefings that promote a strong nuclear safety focus
- Providing comprehensive feedback to identify areas for improvement
- Ensuring that all staff carry out activities with full regard to nuclear, industrial and environmental safety requirements
- Spending appropriate time in the field monitoring, observing and assessing personnel performance to maintain and reinforce high standards of nuclear professionalism.

**Who you are**

You’ll need a background in Maintenance, with supervisory experience in power station or heavy industrial environments and be educated to HNC standards (or equivalent).

You’ll need excellent planning, organisational and communication skills with experience in management of work processes. Experience in project management is desirable but not essential. Enthusiasm and a willingness to develop and be determined to succeed are crucial, as well as experienced leadership skills to guide and support a team to meet business objectives.
