**Security Team Leader - Leiston**
- The Security Team Leader (STL) is a member of the security management team and is a pivotal role for the day to day operational running of the security team at Sizewell C (SZC). The STL is effectively the on-site security manager when on duty and forms the immediate response for the Site Emergency Arrangements. You will be required to project a security presence which is both commanding and authoritative whilst working on a Critical National Infrastructure project.
- You will need to be aged 18 or over, a confident communicator who is a team player with the drive to provide a friendly and professional service at all times. Sound IT knowledge is required.
- You must be flexible and available to work 4 days on, 4 days off which will include days, nights and weekends. Security experience and an SIA licence is required for this role and you must hold a UK driving licence

**Pay**:£17.58 per hour
**Weekly Hours**:Average 42 hours per week, based on a 12 hour shift pattern rotating through days, nights and weekends

**Key Responsibilities**
- Comply with all Health & Safety procedures as set by our client and G4S
- Day to day operational management of the on shift security team at SZC and associated developments - including: Sickness & absence management, Discipline
and HR Support
- Development & Training of the Security team
- Mentoring Security Supervisors and Officers
- Briefing the shift supervisors
- Record keeping and compliance maintenance
- Line management of the shift supervisors
- Incident response and scene management (Incident Commander)
- Cross site and contractor liaison
- Notifications to the security management team and relevant client personnel
- Monitor and deliver service level requirements as per KPI’s
**Skills and Competencies**
- Knowledge of Health & Safety procedures, policies and best working practices
- Strong management and leadership skills together with excellent communication, influencing, negotiating and engagement skills
- Sound judgement and decision making, with a ‘hands on’, problem solving approach, able to remain calm under pressure and take control of incidents
- Innovative in approach, supportive and adaptable to change
**Profile**
**Educational Requirements/Qualifications**
- A basic standard of education in Maths, English and IT.
**Preferred Experience**
- A security professional with prior experience gained in a corporate, Critical National Infrastructure, Police or Military environment
- Experience of leading and supervising teams in a demanding environment
- Enthusiastic and committed approach with a track record of building strong, trust based relationships with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels
- Experience of training and mentoring
- Proven experience in a high tempo, operational theatre in a pressurised role
- Good IT skills with a working knowledge of MS Office and Google Suite packages
