**Senior Residential Children’s Support Worker**

**Shift Pattern**: 37.5 hours per week (shift pattern)
We are looking for a Senior Residential Childcare Worker for one of our clients Residential Children’s Home based.
Our client is a provider of residential children services for children and young people with behaviours that challenge, offering a homely work environment and a supportive management team with ongoing training.
As a senior residential childcare worker, you will play a full and effective role as a member of the staff team, providing high-quality assessment and residential care for young people with behaviours that challenge.
Our client is looking for a dedicated organised senior childcare worker who can lead a shift and take the initiative to work well independently as well as working well with other members of the staff team.
**Senior Residential Childcare Worker Duties and Responsibilities include**:
- Plan, manage and lead shifts
- Encourage, support and guide members of the staff team
- Attend case reviews, planning meetings and any other meetings as required
- Undertake specific administration tasks as directed by the Home Manager
- Actively participate in supervision, appraisal, training, meetings & consultancies
- Maintain records as required
- To be alert to signs of distress or abuse and to ensure that the young people are monitored and protected, and their needs are met ensuring that all safeguarding needs are met
- Contribute to care planning and the implementation of these plans
- Taking responsibility for a small number of young people and ensuring that their needs are fully met
- Establishing relationships which young people perceive to be positive, warm and rewarding
**Requirements for this Senior Residential Childcare Worker position are**:
- Diploma Level 3 in Residential Childcare
- 2 years’ experience of working within a residential childcare environment
- Experience of working with young people with behaviours that challenge
- Able to work on a shift pattern which includes sleep-ins
