We have an exciting opportunity for an Administrator at HMP Thameside to join our healthcare team at HMP Thameside, a category B prison located in the Thamesmead area of South East London. In this role you'll be working with a multi-disciplinary team that will support you and help you succeed.

**Hours**

This is a full time role, working 37.5 hours per week.

Monday to Friday: 08:00 - 16:00 or 09:00 - 17:00

**Salary**

You’ll receive an annual salary up to £27,300 per annum - depending on experience.

**What you'll be doing**:
As our Administrator your responsibilities will vary. You will:

- undertake general administrative work, including dealing with patients, healthcare and other professionals, over the telephone or face to face
- use clinical IT systems, reporting and monitoring, setting up clinical templates
- manage the booking system for all external appointments including outgoing and incoming referral letters and liaison with external services linking with prison GPs, nursing team and prison team to arrange escorts and risk assessments.
- maintain good quality electronic and hard copy filing systems including filing and retrieving organisational documents, records and reports.

**Qualifications and Experience required**
- English and Maths at GCSE or equivalent
- Excellent communication skills
- Good IT skills and IT literacy
- Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team

Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, GP service or prison environment.
