Elevation Procurement & Supply Chain are currently partnered with a Global FMCG Manufacturing business, in the recruitment of a Category Procurement Manager for IT Software & IT Services.
Job Description/Role Overview:
The Category Manager, Software & IT Services, is responsible for the £50m+ spend, strategic planning and leadership of all key initiatives within the Software & IT Services Category.
The scope of the GCM Software & IT Services role includes responsibility for all associated expenditure within the parameters of the role. Specifically, but not exhaustively, the GCM Software & IT Services has responsibility for all stakeholder and supplierengagement activities associated with Software & IT Services.
The GCM Software & IT Services develops the Category strategy as part of the wider Technical Services strategy and IT Category strategy owned by the Global Category Director.

**Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for providing Procurement Category input into the Global Category Lead in order to inform the functional objective setting process
- Accountable for the delivery of Software & IT Services Category targets following engagement in the target setting process
- Responsible for the collection of supplier, supply market, category and internal business data and information for the Software & IT Services Category
- Responsible for developing the Global Category Strategy for Software & IT Services, including relevant stakeholder approval (members of the Software & IT Services Leadership Team)
- Responsible for the communication of distribution of any category-specific strategies to the relevant stakeholders
- Accountable for identifying key supplier risks within the Software & IT Services Category and agreeing mitigating activities with the relevant business stakeholders
- Accountable for ensuring that any supplier performance risks and issues are resolved on a timely basis
- Responsible for the development and execution of projects based on the Software & IT Services Category strategy and business planning activities to feed into the Annual Procurement Category Plan
- Accountable for ensuring the Category projects agreed to within the Global Software & IT Services Category Strategy are executed in a timely basis in line with the targeted goals
- Responsible for leading proactive sourcing for the Software & IT Services Category
- Responsible for establishing overall Software & IT Services Category segmentation and identification of key supplier relationships
Education / Qualifications:

- Strong preference for CIPS or similar professional qualification
**Experience**:

- 6+ years' experience in an IT Procurement environment, within a Blue Chip Business environment
Competencies, Key Challenges, Key Performance Indicators, Measures of success:

- Business Engagement & Influence: Demonstrable alignment of Software & IT Services Category Strategy with key stakeholders and successful implementation of key Category initiatives (Cost, Risk, Quality)
- Value Delivery: Demonstrable achievement of the annual Category savings targets, increased spend under management (influence), support & delivery of the S&N innovation agenda
- Supplier Performance & Risk Management: Pro-active, Procurement Led supplier relationship management, critical Category risks identified, mitigated and managed through dynamic plans
