DWF Claims is an international organisation providing commercial lines claims management services. We specialise in the proactive resolution of defendant insurance claims, and we currently seek a Claims Handler to provide a professional, efficient and proactive claims handling role to our Clients, whilst reflecting our brand values.

**The Role**:
We are looking to hire an individual to join our highly successful Liability claims team in Leeds who deal with a diverse and complex range of claims, varying from Motorsport, Food Retail and Care Homes, through to Woodland, Contamination and many other non-traditional underwriting risks.

The role is challenging but we will give you the autonomy to deal with your own caseload from cradle to grave, with a wide variety of claims.

A proactive attitude to claim settlement, with excellent telephone communication skills would be second nature to you, as will possessing the interpersonal skills and drive to thrive as a highly valued member of our team.. The primary role will be to provide a professional service in all aspects of claims handling, however specifically, the role involves:

- Dealing with EL/PL claims to an incurred reserve of approximately £500k on a retained basis;
- Dealing with EL/PL claims to an incurred reserve of approximately £100,000 on a DA basis;
- Dealing with unusual underwriting risks, for example Motorsport, where detailed desktop investigations are required;
- The ability to undertake claims review meetings;
- EL/PL or relevant legal/insurance background with the ability to conduct detailed desk based investigations;
- The ability to hit the ground running;
- Experience of Local Authority claims would be advantageous.
