With more than 30 years of experience behind us, we’re focused and committed to helping our local East London community boost career options for young people and give every child a bright and promising future.

As such, we are now looking for a number of inspirational and experienced Freelance Facilitators to deliver work-related learning activities and career development workshops to young people.

Fees
- Workshop facilitation and delivery: £275 for a full short day of delivery and £165 for half-day delivery

This role represents an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to the lives and futures of young people, giving them direction and hope as well as putting them on the right path.

You’ll be equipping young people with the skills and knowledge they need to thrive throughout their career development journey, making this a highly rewarding position that you won’t want to miss.

The Role

As a Freelance Facilitator, you will provide learning activities and workshops to young people within primary schools (Key Stage 2), secondary schools and sixth forms.

Providing engaging sessions, you will help to raise young peoples’ employment aspirations and support them in learning about the world of work.

You will also work with local business volunteers who support the workshops through their experience, advice, and guidance.

About You
- At least five years’ experience of working with young people (8-18 years old), facilitating highly engaging and impactful training, workshops, and programmes
- A background working with young people in one or more of the following roles: coach, mentor, teacher, youth worker, facilitator, trainer or events leader
- Experience working with and facilitating adult volunteers during workshops
- A track record of creating captivating lesson/workshop content, associated resources, and training materials/plans, using the principles of experiential learning
- Confidence in online conferencing platforms to virtually deliver interactive workshop content
- Confident and engaging public speaker; able to present complex information in a simple, concise way
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with young people, teachers, business volunteers and colleagues
- An understanding of Post-18 education and career options
- Familiarity with education and knowledge of business education activity and/or employability skills agenda
- An understanding of, and commitment to, equal opportunities
- IT literate with experience of Microsoft Office and other platforms to deliver engaging content
- Knowledge of the local Tower Hamlets area is desirable

This role will require an enhanced DBS check. We operate a safer recruitment policy and we will check on multiple references before employment starts.

Additional Information

In-person second-round interviews and presentations will be held the week of 25th March. This will take place in-person at our offices in London, E1.
