We are looking for a **Financial Planning Analyst**join our team and be responsible providing high-quality financial planning and analysis to the operational teams to drive performance, understanding and growth.

In the role as **Financial Planning Analyst,**you will build strong relationships with operational teams within our schools and residential care homes as well as our internal stakeholders and analyse monthly financial results to highlight andcomment on key variances to budget or forecast.

You’ll directly support the Head of Financial Planning and Analysis and the Business Intelligence team to implement automated and system driven budgeting and modelling tools, as well as:

- Provide financial analysis to support new business activities
- Developing financial models to support senior leaders in decision making
- Financial analysis to evaluate potential deals and understand bottom line contribution
- Developing financial projections across budgets and further analysis
- Lead on KPI analysis to help inform new opportunities, evaluating against key
- internal investment metrics
- Market analysis and research to aid financial modelling activities for future investment
- Producing presentations and reports to present back to clients and the board
- Driving finance related process improvements and providing input in improving efficiencies across forecasting and reporting

**To be successful in the role you will need**:

- An accounting qualification or be a finalist
- Business Partnering experience
- Proven ability to influence financial outcomes and work closely with operational managers
- Proven track record in a commercial finance role
- Advanced Excel skills, including data manipulation
- Keen eye for detail and analytical mindset
- The ability to consolidate, manipulate and present data extracted from various operating systems to produce meaningful trends
- Experience working towards KPI’s
- Experience of working with financial packages such as Access Dimensions, Sage, SAP.
