Technical Specialist - Road Marking

**Salary - £33,945 - £38,223 (Grade 6)**

**Hours - 37**

**Contract type - full time, permanent**

Network Management and Response - Technical Specialist - Road Marking

To assist with the delivery of the Highway Asset Management Service to ensure compliance with the Highways Act 1980 and Traffic Management Act 2004, ensuring the safe and expeditious movement of traffic. To plan, deliver and maintain a sustainable road marking and highway lining programme. To support the Highway Asset Management Service by maintaining relevant and accurate highway data, delivering sustainable maintenance in accordance with approved strategies

Qualifications - HNC/HND or equivalent in a relevant discipline or demonstrable experience in the area, significant experience in the management of highway assets and associated data, and an In-depth knowledge of Codes of Practice, Specifications, Legislation relating to highway asset management, and materials

**Our working arrangements**

All council roles are allocated to either a fixed, field or flexible work style. Some roles are agile which enable and empowers employees to maximise their performance and productivity, whilst maintaining a healthy work life balance. Roles with a fixed workstyle work in a fixed permanent council location. Roles with a field workstyle are usually allocation where employees are required to be out working in the community with a minimum requirement for 'touch down' space at any council location. Roles with a flexible workstyle have a flexible base location to meet the needs of the business and employees can work from a mixture of home or any council office, partner/client, or external location, as required to meet service requirements.
