My client requires a Contract/Change manager to start work on a project ASAP as part of their IT Services and change team.

Overview

IT Services has been very successful in meeting the recent challenges of Covid, where there was rapid delivery and change. This has been recognised within the organisation with increased focus on Digital as we move forward. This is exemplified by the recentapproval of significant investment in IT Services, focusing on areas including Cyber Security and Networking offering real opportunities for change, as well as enabling the organisation.

As part of these improvements, I.T. Services is building a team that will focus on improving the management of its relationships with Suppliers, the contracts it holds, and managing Supplier Compliance and Risk.

Roles & Expectations.
1. Leading the design and operation of procedures for the Business key Suppliers to gather data to manage Supplier Risk and Compliance.
2. Work with Stakeholders to monitor and report on I.T. Supplier performance related to their contracts with the University.
3. Monitor and manage I.T. Suppliers for business, product, and service portfolio changes which could affect the University's use of their products and services.
4. Monitor the I.T. Supplier Market place for alternative products and advise stakeholders in a timely manner.
5. Monitor I.T. Market place for trends and make recommendations as appropriate.
6. Monitor for new and changed procurement "Routes to Market" options.
7. Advise stakeholders on selecting appropriate I.T. Suppliers and routes to markets for I.T. Products and Services for University, Facility, Project and Research use.
8. Work with Stakeholders to lead the negotiation of new I.T. contracts and renewals of existing I.T. contracts.
9. Identify opportunities to simplify and optimise the I.T. Supplier and Contract portfolio, acting on your findings.
10. Build and maintain a contracts portfolio database, bringing IT, Procurement, and Legal datasets together in a meaningful manner.
11. Monitor and report on financial and usage data on I.T. Suppliers and Contracts.
12. Other activities to help support the objectives of the I.T. Contracts, Licencing and Asset Management team.

Required Experience:

- Experience of supplier management, value chain management or procurement in a complex digital organisation
- Experience of managing digital suppliers’ performance and compliance
- Experience of working with Public Sector procurement frameworks.
- analysing security requirements for large-scale, mission-critical digital services
- Experience of working in an environment with multiple software and hardware Suppliers, and service providers
- Experience of working collaboratively and communicating effectively with a range of technical and non-technical colleagues
