**Location**: Manchester M22 (Hybrid working available)

**Hours**: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours, 9am to 5.30pm, 60-minute lunch

**Salary**: Up to £35,000 + benefits

**Focus of the role**:
You will be joining a team that is expanding, which currently consists of 4 HR professionals and 2 recruitment specialists. The HR Advisor will act as first point of contact for managing employee queries and maintaining employee relations. You will work closely with senior leaders providing advice and guidance in line with policy and process and supporting business and departmental objectives.

**Responsibilities**:

- Acting as the point of contact for hiring managers and employees
- Providing operational HR advice and direction to managers
- Advising on a wide range of people issues such as performance management, absence management, disciplinary and grievance
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policy and process
- Supporting with providing HR payroll information and assisting with payroll queries, eventually taking ownership of the monthly payroll and being point of contact for our external payroll consultants
- Supporting with onboarding i.e., new starter inductions
- General HR administration e.g., offers, contracts, referencing, DBS checks, system updates, contractual changes, job descriptions.
- Managing sponsorship portal, requests, right to work and general administration
- Other ad hoc HR projects

**Person, Skills & Experience**:

- Experience working as a HR Advisor is essential
- Good understanding of UK employment legislation
- Strong HR ER experience with disciplinary, grievance, probation, performance, and sickness absence management cases
- Knowledge of TUPE and acquisition would be beneficial
- Ability to establish and nurture working relationships
- Educated to degree level or equivalent or CIPD qualification
- Experience of working within a fast-paced environment and in prioritising and managing your own workload
- Drive and enthusiasm, with high energy levels and a can-do attitude
- Proficient in all MS packages, particularly excel, with the ability to build reports
- Eagerness to take ownership and responsibility for own activities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build relationships with senior management
- Bright and personable with a professional approach to work
