Pentagon Motor Group have a very exciting new career opportunity available for a Regional HSE Officer to join our company HSE team.

Within this role you will be play an integral part in implementing health, safety, environment and compliance standards throughout the Northern based dealerships of the group. Monitoring compliance standards and devising practical solutions that can be implemented to control business risk exposure and minimise the consequences of incidents and accidents

**What Will You Be Doing?**

Main responsibilities of the role will include:

- Driving a positive and proactive safety culture throughout all levels of the team to promote operational excellence in safety behaviours.
- Travelling to sites within your regional area to perform duties.
- Carrying out site inspections and reviewing exposure to HSE risks and identifying and implementing where appropriate, the necessary corrective measures.
- Undertaking accident investigations as required and identifying remedial actions to reduce risks.
- Assisting with internal HSE compliance audits.
- Assisting with projects and initiatives in order to improve HSE & Compliance standards across the group.
- Monitoring the performance and service provided to the business by its sub-contractors.
- Ensuring that all contractors working on sites have submitted the correct up to date documentation.
- Ensuring that all hazards, near misses, accidents and incidents are recorded correctly and where necessary, escalated within a timely manner using the company electronic management system.

The working hours for this role are Monday to Friday, 09:00am - 17:00pm.

**Who Are We Looking for?**
- Hold a formal H&S qualification/certification e.g. BSC, IOSH, NEBOSH NGC or be working towards a formal Health and Safety qualification.
- Have knowledge of current HSE legislation
- Have the ability to build rapport and maintain good working relationships.
- Exhibit strong and effective communication skills both written and verbal
- Demonstrate a proactive and right first time mentality
- Show an excellent eye for detail
- Be organised and take a methodical approach to their work
- Be an active team player
- Hold a full, UK driving licence
