Protocol Education are recruiting for aspiring Educational Psychologists to work in schools across Tyne and Wear.

You will be working to provide support for children with special educational needs (aged between 11-16). You will assist children in their learning and day to day routines to enable them to access a mainstream curriculum. You will have the opportunity to work with a range of SEND including ASC and SEMH.

No previous experience is required as you will be provided with on-the-job training and CPD to assist in the role as learning support assistant. Accredited qualifications will also be available via Protocol Education.

This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone wanting to progress into a career in Educational Psychology as Protocol Education can supply you with paid experience working with children.

Roles available are full time (term time only), to begin immediately or in April 2023. If successful you will be likely required until the end of the academic year (July 2023). A number of our schools are hoping to offer permanent contracts after this point.

Work will be available in schools across Tyne and Wear, including Newcastle, North Tyneside, Gateshead, Sunderland and South Tyneside. As part of our service, you will be allocated a dedicated consultant who will work to place you in an area of your choosing.
- Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Have a calm and consistent approach and understand how to respond to challenging behaviours
- Hold a university degree

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
