The Head of New Energies at Flogas Britain is a newly created and forward-looking role to identify, develop and realise opportunities in new and renewable energies across the Commercial and Consumer markets, developing our customer proposition and solutions to help decarbonise energy.

**The Role**:
This role requires an entrepreneurial mindset and strong business acumen across a variety of functions. You will spearhead an innovative team which will focus on low carbon business models through partnerships, M&A activity and working with sister businesses in DCC Energy (principally UK and Ireland).

Working closely with the Commercial Director as part of the Commercial Leadership Team, the role will:

- be responsible for owning the development and delivery of the business strategy for New Energies
- work with external agencies and forums to interpret changes to policy and regulation to inform the development and delivery of the business strategy, having assessed risks and opportunities for Flogas
- develop market and competitor analysis, delivering insight to the organisation to support the delivery of the strategy
- role model the values and behaviours of the organisation: safety, integrity, partnership and excellence and be a driver of cultural change

The role will report to the Commercial Director, Flogas Britain and will be based in Flogas’ Head Office in Syston, Leicester. The organisation is geographically spread across the UK and there will be a requirement for regular travel.

**About You**:

- Experienced senior leader with a proven track record of delivering growth through new market identification and development.
- Demonstrable experience of influencing senior stakeholders.
- Experience and capability in pre and post-acquisition activity including integrating people, infrastructures, and business processes.
- Successful track record in leading, developing and motivating cross functional, virtual teams, together with the proven ability to meet and exceed targets on a consistent basis.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to contribute directly to the overall business strategy and work collaboratively with the Commercial Leadership Team on their functional commercial issues
- Self-aware and authentic leadership style, with ability to influence, and build internal and external networks.
- Pragmatic with the ability to demonstrate resilience under pressure.
- Experience gained within an Energy distribution or Energy technology businesses will be very advantageous but is not essential.
