MAIN DUTIES

1. Develop and implement social media strategies to increase reach and awareness of City Family and its programmes of work.

2. Create and curate engaging content for social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn

3. Support in scheduling and publishing content using social media management tools

4. Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in social media marketing

5.

Responding to direct messages through Social Media channels, including signposting to external and internal services.

6.

Support in the development of targeted campaign/s to promote key events and activities.

7.

Keep and maintain high quality records and produce reports when required.

8.

To attend supervision, team meetings and training sessions.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Experience
- Experience of developing and managing professional/influencer social media accounts.
- Experience in developing and/or delivering online campaigns or community projects, events and/or services
- Experience in creating engaging content for social media accounts and websites

Knowledge
- A Level/BTEC or equivalent in a relevant field
- High proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Suite, Canva or Figma
- Qualification or evident experience in marketing, communications or graphic design
- Understanding of local services working to support families (desirable, not essential).

Skills and abilities
- Commitment to the learning and development of young children and families
- Ability to work as a part of a team and on own initiative
- Good analytical skills
- Commitment to continuing professional development
- Excellent communication skills.

AdditionalAble to travel regionally.Able to undertake occasional weekend and evening work (working hours to be agreed).Working knowledge of the Southend / South Essex area.
