Producer: Residencies

The post holder will deliver the Adobe Creative Residency Programme by assisting the residents in the delivery of their outputs and working with the Learning Team to develop and deliver relevant learning programmes around their work. This includes managing the three studios at V&A South Kensington by managing equipment, materials, and supervising maintenance. They will also deliver learning residency programme events such as Open Studios, under the supervision of the Senior Producer: Residency Programme and the Team Leader: Residency Programme. This role is an active member of the learning team, and will work across Families, Young People and Schools audiences to deliver programmes tied with the annual residents work. They will provide administrative and reasonable production support to residents to deliver their pieces and be a point of contact for residents for practical needs. They will work across the museum to manage relevant room bookings, estate’s needs, security requests, and liaising closely with the design and display teams. They will connect with curators’ technical services team to allow access to the V&A collections. They will deliver the practical installation of the annual display of the resident’s work under the supervision of the learning management team. They will work closely with other teams across the museum to help produce Digital Design Weekend, Friday Lates and other festivals programmes. They will devise and coordinate pop-up displays/ performances by the residents in line with the design and exhibitions teams. Additionally, they will work closely with the residents to help deliver relevant programming across their practice to wide ranges of audiences. They will work to a budget, assist the team leader with reporting, and help implement and record metrics in line with the learning team’s impact framework. They will supervise the creation of assets and online content such as photography and filming in studios and in gallery spaces.
This role will be an active member of the learning team and assist the Senior Producer and Producer: Residencies (Programming) to deliver learning events. They will understand the contemporary issues facing audiences and will work with community partners to best meet the needs and expand the programme. They will work in a creative and dynamic manner to contribute to the ethos of the Residency Programme, which is to enable contemporary art, design and performance practitioners to embed themselves in the museum, research our collections and connect with our audiences in creative and innovative ways. They will support residents through the learning programme at the V&A, and with our partners, to engage a wide range of audiences with their creative practices.
