Knowledge and Information Assistant

**Full Time, Permanent**
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Modern Records Unit team for Permanent and Full Time (37 hours) Knowledge, and Information Assistant role within Bristol City Council.
You will be joining a small, friendly, and dedicated team to help us deliver our high-quality Records Management Service.
You, along with the Modern Records team will handle the day-to-day management of physical paper records as well as maintaining our Records Management System. Including tasks such as but not limited to:
- Arranging and dealing with new deposits of records
- Physical movement of records in and out of storage
- Destruction of records which have reached their retention date
- The delivery and collection of records to various sites across Bristol City Council
- Working with our digital files creating or amending record entries
- Answering queries from a variety of customers
The role offers a good mixture of desk based and physical work, across our various warehouse storage locations throughout the city.
You will work out of our B Bond office each day and will be expected to catalogue and move boxes for storage and destruction operations within our warehouses.
You will also carry out weekly record collection and delivery drops across our warehouse locations, and offices throughout Bristol.
**Each box could weigh up to 15KG.**
You will interact with various customers and colleagues from different council departments through-out the day, it is important to us that we keep the excellent customer service that our customers have come to expect.
