Established in 1979 we operate across 11 sites in England and Scotland with over 480 employees and 220 vehicles. They offer a wide range of delivery solutions to many satisfied customers while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professional conduct.
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Transport Planner to join our team at our Durham site.
This is a full-time role working Monday to Friday 05.00 - 15.00 (£12.54 p/h and £14.54 p/h overtime)
**Daily duties include**:
- Manage and plan the daily workload for the drivers
- Communicate and direct drivers for loading and unloading.
- Build relationships with customers.
- Provide accurate routing information.
- Collection and processing of paperwork
- Ensure that all current legislation and regulations are adhered to.
**Who are we looking for?**
The successful Transport Planner will have the experience, skill, and flexible attitude to take on this role and thrive.
- Experience within a traffic planning role is essential.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate across all levels, in a professional and polite manner.
- IT literate.
- Thorough understanding of transport regulations, including drivers’ hours and working time.
