At Connection Support, our team of staff members and volunteers work alongside people to overcome life's challenges, with the goals of solving homelessness and achieving independence. We are recruiting for a Case Worker to join the Rough Sleeper Initiative team.
**About the role.**
Working within the Rough sleeper Initiative team, you will provide a programme of planned support to people who are or have recently been rough sleeping, and now in accommodation.
Working alongside the clients, you will provide support to access and provide information on benefits, housing options, tenancy rights, mental health, or substance misuse issues. You will support them with developing practical life skills, such as budgeting, paying bills and planning meals. You will support your clients to live independently and empower them to speak up for themselves. In addition, you will connect and build appropriate networks within the local community, and, where possible, re-establish and reconnect with family and friends.
Salary £22,675 - £25,380 per annum, pro rata, dependent on experience.
This role requires travel across Buckinghamshire, therefore a drivers licence and access to a car is essential.
**About you.**
You're an excellent communicator who finds it easy to build connections with a diverse range of people. You understand that each person is different, so a flexible individualised approach is what's needed to motivate and encourage people.
You will have lived or professional experience with homelessness and/or housing. Ideally, you will have a good understanding of the benefits system. You have a strong resilience to not give up and can work creatively to find solutions.
