Aylesbury, United Kingdom Connection Support Full time

**Job Title**: Case Worker RSI

**Location**: Aylesbury

**Salary**: Salary £22,675 - £25,380 per annum, dependent on experience.

**Job Type**:Permanent

**Working Hours**: 37.5 hours per week

**Are you passionate about making a difference in reducing homelessness?**

At Connection Support, our team of staff members and volunteers work alongside people to overcome life's challenges, with the goals of solving homelessness and achieving independence. We do this through our values of empowerment, collaboration, compassion and taking a personalised approach in all aspects of our work.

We are recruiting for a Case Worker to join the Rough Sleeper Initiative team.

**About the role.**

Working within the Rough sleeper Initiative team, you will provide a programme of planned support to people who are or have recently been rough sleeping, and now in accommodation.

Working alongside the clients, you will provide support to access and provide information on benefits, housing options, tenancy rights, mental health, or substance misuse issues. You will support them with developing practical life skills, such as budgeting, paying bills and planning meals. You will support your clients to live independently and empower them to speak up for themselves. In addition, you will connect and build appropriate networks within the local community, and, where possible, re-establish and reconnect with family and friends.

Salary £22,675 - £25,380 per annum, pro rata, dependent on experience.

This role requires travel across Buckinghamshire, therefore a drivers licence and access to a car is essential.

**About you.**

You're an excellent communicator who finds it easy to build connections with a diverse range of people. You understand that each person is different, so a flexible individualised approach is what's needed to motivate and encourage people.

You will have lived or professional experience with homelessness and/or housing. Ideally, you will have a good understanding of the benefits system. You have a strong resilience to not give up and can work creatively to find solutions.

Above all, you have a natural ability to help make the lives of others more fulfilling, and are passionate about our mission, vision and values.

**Why work for us?**

We have been named as one of the top 25 charities to work for in the UK by Best Companies. The wonderful people at Connection Support are committed to supporting everyone in our society to become safely and sustainably housed, and to live as independently as possible, so you will be joining an organisation that makes a difference to its communities and will also support your development, offer extensive training, and truly value your dedication and commitment.

We also offer 30 days annual leave (pro rata for part time), plus bank holidays, sick pay, and an enhanced benefits package which includes cover on health benefits, the ability to sell a week's annual leave, eco travel incentives, childcare discounts, retail discounts and much more.

Connection Support is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

Connection Support is committed to being a proactively inclusive organisation and ensuring good EDEI practice is embedded in the workplace culture.

If you are interested in joining this amazing organisation and making a difference, then please do get in touch.

**The closing date will be 10.00am on Wednesday 26
th
July. Interviews will take place week commencing 31
st
July at our High Wycombe office.
