Due to our operational expansion, we now have an opportunity for a Purchase Ledger Assistant to join our team.

Hours of work are 9am - 6pm Monday to Friday with an hour for lunch.

**Responsibilities**:

- Process purchase invoices manually and using our automated scan and capture system
- Process employee expense claims and credit card statements
- Prepare payment runs, arranging and settling contras
- Perform supplier statement reconciliations and review aged creditors reports
- Resolve queries in conjunction with the Purchasing team
- Develop good relationships with key suppliers
- Maintain purchase ledger accounts, posting and allocating payments
- Input to short term cash flow forecasting
- Contribute to implementation of new systems, processes, and controls

**Required Skills**:

- Previous purchase ledger experience
- Good Microsoft Office skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organised with experience of working in a high volume, fast-paced role
- Highly motivated, self-starter
- Methodical and accurate with strong attention to detail
- Used to working to tight deadlines

**Desirable Skills and Personal Qualities**:

- Accounting qualification (fully or part-qualified)
- Familiarity with a multi-company, multi-currency environment
- Experience of using Oracle Netsuite
